“Color, to me, is a language of emotion.”
Laura is a full-time artist based in Germany, creating vibrant abstract works that radiate energy and emotion. Born in Geneva in March 1980 and raised in South-West Germany, her early life across different European cultures shaped her visual sensibility. She studied Fashion Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Trier and built a successful career as a designer before transitioning fully into art.
Her artistic language is rooted in both color and form. Drawing on her background in fashion, Laura often approaches her compositions with a sensibility for construction: shapes meet, and interlock like pieces of a pattern. She is also exploring the act of sewing, a long part of her design practice, which continues to influence her work.
For Laura, color is an emotional dialect, while form becomes the architecture that carries it. Her works explore contrast, rhythm, and imagined spatialities with a high vibrancy. Each piece is built intuitively yet with precision, conceived to evoke connection, joy, and lasting impact.
In September 2020, Laura shifted fully into painting and has since developed her career independently through consistent self-management and a strong online presence. Today, her artworks are collected in 24 countries across four continents. From her studio in Bielefeld, she continues to refine and expand her evolving visual language.
